Participation Agreement

By attending an Embody Life event, you agree to the following terms.

Your Wellbeing

Somatic practices can bring up physical sensations and emotions. You are responsible for:

  • Informing facilitators of any health conditions, injuries, or concerns before the session
  • Listening to your body and resting when needed
  • Communicating with facilitators if you feel uncomfortable or need support
  • Seeking appropriate medical or psychological support for any conditions that arise

Contraindications

Some practices are not suitable for everyone. Please consult with your healthcare provider and inform us before attending if you:

  • Are pregnant
  • Have cardiovascular conditions
  • Have a history of seizures or epilepsy
  • Have been diagnosed with psychosis or certain psychiatric conditions
  • Have had recent surgery
  • Have any other condition that might be affected by physical exercise or breathwork

We reserve the right to advise against participation if we believe it may not be safe for you.

Confidentiality

What is shared in our sessions stays in our sessions. We ask all participants to:

  • Respect the privacy of other participants
  • Not share personal information disclosed by others outside the session
  • Not record audio, video, or photographs without explicit consent
  • All physical contact is optional and requires verbal consent
  • You have the right to decline any exercise or practice
  • You can leave a session at any time
  • Facilitators will never touch you without asking permission first

Right to Refuse

We reserve the right to refuse or end participation if someone:

  • Appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Behaves in a way that disrupts the safety or comfort of the group
  • Does not follow facilitator guidance on safety

Liability

By participating, you acknowledge that:

  • Embody Life and its facilitators are not liable for any injury or adverse effects
  • You participate at your own risk
  • Our practices are not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment
